Basic things you need to know about EU

You just joined, got through the tutorial, not much makes sense.

You were most probably lured by some random articles or videos through the net that were speaking of the potential of making REAL money by just playing a game!

Where is all that? How do i exactly start making money here?

Let's start from the very basics.

Entropia Universe is a Virtual Universe, it's not really a game. It's a Universe in which you create an Avatar, which will be you. That being said, you should not expect making money from playing here. Playing means expenses, unless you are of the 0.01%(may be optimistic here) that managed to be on the right time at the right place, you won't be making money through playing. So under no circumstances should you be aiming on making money here through the 3 main professions, Hunting, Mining and Crafting(the most expensive one).

Since this Universe needs income to sustain itself, MA needs to hand out lesser rewards than what was spent initiately, to get paid, sort of. From these 3 professions your returns on average should be around 90% TT(Trade Terminal) value, excluding the MU(Mark Up) .

The main "professions" which actually make you money are:

Sweating, which is the main and only free accessible profession for everyone starting. Sweating can be performed on any animal with the use of the VSE Mk1 tool. You equip it and just use it or turn it on auto-use. Sweating will most likely be the main profession for most people that are not willing to Depo much or even any.

Trading, which is not quite for everyone. Trading is for the most patient of people that are willing to spare huge amounts of time just standing and advertising. And for the ones that are somewhat gifted in spotting good deals. Most traders are located at Twin Peaks, some at Camp Icarus aswell which is the starting point for everyone spawning on Planet Calypso(after you're done with the tutorial). Trading can be done through auction aswell of course and even in between the planets. You spot some demand for any items, check the prices and try to supply that planet with the demanded items. This should be done only through the use of Warp Drive, so that there is no risk of being looted by Pirates in open space. Warp Drive can be performed by big ships, so you'll most likely have to pay for that service. This is a good website that has schedules for the flights https://efa.ms/

Healing service, which can be performed after you receive some levels in Paramedic. These kind of services can be provided by either newbies, for newbies or low hunting, or uber players for even higher than their level hunting. Most of the time you simply follow the hunter/hunters around and heal them with your own healing tools or the ones provided by them. But what exactly will include the service and how you'll be paid is up to you and the employer. You can create a forum post on Planet Calypso Forum advertising it, or simply advertise it ingame.

Taxi, being the cab driver does pay off. This service has to do mostly with space. You'll be flying from Planet A to Planet B, according to the demands of your customer. To fly through space you'll be needing a Sleipnir or a Quad-Wing Interceptor. You'll have to bare extreme caution aswell to not be the target of Pirates, since Space is lootable PvP. Other than space, you could be the taxi by simply TP "running" some newer players that lack some of the TPs(Teleporters) through out the maps on each Planet.

Other than these professions there are two more ways(of which i am aware of) to make some money to enchance your gameplay.

These are Oil collecting at the Rig, located near Camp Icarus. People are usually standing in line there, waiting patiently for the Rig to spawn oil(40-60 barrels) each time. Whoever is up the line gets to pick it and heads back to the end of the line.

The second way is  Entropia Partners  . Which i highly recommend using. It's a trusted website(i am using it every day with no problems) which provides you some tasks to do for PEDs through CrowdFlower, a digging game to win some rewards which can be turned into for PEDs and some videos which you can watch everyday for some PECs as a reward in return.

To conclude, if you are willing to make it a bit more viable in EU for your Avatar and gaming experience, you'll have to be patient, persistent, and hard working. It really can be done without investing hundreds or even thousands of $. Just don't demand it overnight.
